26” Maple - Smooth - White Cord - Wood Baton

A 7” hand tied handle starts 1 ¼” from the “Kashira” or butt cap, finished with a decorative knot to form a built in grommet or “Tsuba”.  The knot pattern forms a spiral pattern down the “Tsuka” or handle, white in color.  The wood is sanded to 12000 grit and polished with wax.  Its natural colors and grain shine through.  This baton is reminisent of a trip to Italy where I noticed all the "Polizia" carried a white baton.
